About Connie Blackwell, APRN
Connie Blackwell, APRN is a nurse practitioner at the White-Wilson Internal Medicine Clinic in Fort Walton Beach. After witnessing a motor vehicle accident and being unprepared to help victims, Ms. Blackwell decided to pursue a career in medicine. She spent more than 20 years as a registered nurse, including 5 years in the United States Air Force Nurses Corps, before receiving her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2015.
Ms. Blackwell works alongside Dr. Vergil Brown and Dr. Gilbert Vigo and specializes in disease prevention, disease management, wellness care, chronic care and annual wellness exams. She strives not only to assist patients with their medical needs but also to educate them in ways to improve their overall health.
Ms. Blackwell is married to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy and together they have three grown children and three handsome grandsons. When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, knitting, crocheting, reading and traveling.
