About Shana Haywood, APRN, PNP
Shana Haywood, PNP is a pediatric nurse practitioner caring for patients at the White-Wilson Pediatric Clinic in Fort Walton Beach. Having always had a love for children and a desire for them to succeed, PNP Haywood began her journey in pediatric health care as a registered nurse in the neo-natal intensive care department. For more than 19 years, she dedicated herself to providing diligent care to the smallest and sickest of patients in hospitals across the country.

Along the way, PNP Haywood gathered extensive knowledge of pediatric health care. This, accompanied by her desire to play a bigger role in the health of our community's children, led her to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile and fulfill her dream of becoming a certified pediatric nurse practitioner.

PNP Haywood believes in a holistic approach in treating her patients. She understands the importance of listen to the patient's family as well as the patient and utilizing input from each in the development of her care plans. PNP Haywood specializes general pediatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 – 18 including wellness care, preventive medicine, the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness and physical exams.

When not caring for patients, PNP Haywood enjoys playing pickleball and spending time with her family, especially when watching her two sons play football, lacrosse and baseball. Go Eagles!
