Area Non-Profits Attend Community Grant Forum

FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida – July 18, 2014 — On Monday, July 14, the White-Wilson Community Foundation (WWCF) hosted a Community Grant Forum. Over 25 representatives from area non-profit organizations were in attendance.

Attendee’s arrived to learn more about the WWCF and how to apply for its grants. The Foundation is currently accepting grant applications in an effort to develop community partnerships that improve the overall health of the community.

“White-Wilson Medical Center is committed to the health of this community, and the Foundation is an extension of that commitment,” said White-Wilson Medical Center CEO and WWCF Vice President, Alan Gieseman. “These grants provide a unique opportunity to partner with area non-profits to provide health services where they are needed most.”

Formed in 2012, WWCF works to identify health issues in Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties. Through community partnerships, education and fundraising, WWCF will address health issues in our community one at a time until our community is the healthiest place on Earth.

“We are looking for ways to make the biggest impact on lives in our community,” says White-Wilson Community Foundation Board President, Marj Cummins. “We believe we can do that by partnering with other non-profits to share resources and address local health needs.”

The deadline to apply for funds raised by the Little Black Dress Party is July 31st. All other grant applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Additional information and applications can be found at www.whitewilsoncommunityfoundation.org
