About Dr. Colonna
Alison Colonna, M.D. cherishes developing long-term relationships with people. With this and her desire to educate and help people, it seemed a natural choice for her to go into pediatrics. A mother herself, she knows that each and every child is unique and their care should be tailored in a way that works best for the child and their family.
Dr. Colonna is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor where she later went on to serve as a clinical instructor. In addition to caring for her young patients, Dr. Colonna strives to provide education to their families so they can better understand their child's health and treatment options.
Dr. Colonna spends her time outside of the clinic with her husband, an anesthesiologist, their son and their dog, Mowgli. She is a huge Louisville Cardinals fan and enjoys reading and trying new restaurants. Dr. Colonna is also an avid distance runner, having completed 4 marathons and 13 half-marathons.
