FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–December 5, 2023—After leading the region's largest, independent physician group for more than 21 years, Chief Executive Officer Alan Gieseman has announced his retirement. During his tenure, Gieseman has worked with the organization’s physician owners and leaders to expand access to health care for tens of thousands of locals and visitors in a three-county region. He has helped the group successfully navigate the radical changes in the business of health care and serve throughout the pandemic.

FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–May 11, 2023—The White-Wilson Medical Center Board of Directors recognized Imaging Technician Hank Taylor with the Lifetime Service Award during its quarterly shareholder meeting on May 2. Taylor will retire May 14 after more than 55 years with White-Wilson.
FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–April 11, 2023—Readers of VIP Destin Magazine have voted White-Wilson Medical Center as Best Medical Group and Best Urgent Care in the magazine's annual Best in Destin awards. Dr. Richard Reno of White-Wilson Pediatric Clinic in Destin was also named Best Pediatrician.
FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–February 16, 2023—Readers of Scarlett Magazine have voted Dr. Karen Hoffman, of White-Wilson Medical Center in Niceville, General Practitioner Woman of the Year (WOTY) in the magazine's second annual WOTY awards. Following a two-week voting period late last year, Dr. Hoffman secured the 2023 WOTY title and accepted her award during Scarlett Magazine's WOTY Awards Party on February 15.
FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–December 20, 2022—The Destin Chamber of Commerce has named its 2022 Business Person of the Year. White-Wilson Medical Center CEO Alan Gieseman took home the honor at the Chamber’s Annual Holiday and Awards Party on December 13. The award was sponsored by Trustmark and presented by Christian Charlee on the chamber’s behalf.
FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–October 14, 2022—White-Wilson Medical Center marked the month of October by celebrating the contributions made by its female staff and health care providers. At the monthly Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee, White-Wilson highlighted the level of compassion and care provided by women throughout the organization and used the platform to raise awareness about health matters impacting women. To mark the occasion, the organization made a contribution to One Hopeful Place, a local housing shelter, in the name of the "Women of White-Wilson Medical Center." The donation will help provide a bed in the women's portion of the shelter.

CRESTVIEW, Florida–June 22, 2022—White-Wilson Medical Center took home one of the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce's biggest honors by being recognized as Large Business of the Year. The award was announced during the chamber's Annual Awards and Installation Banquet on Saturday, June 11. White-Wilson Medical Center opened its first clinics in Crestview in November 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has since become a trusted source in the community.
