He truly enjoys the opportunity to care for patients across a wide spectrum of age and medical complexities, and has a particular empathy for patients with painful conditions due to his experience with friend and family member illnesses.
As a pain management physician, Dr. Hughes specializes in chronic pain and multimodal pain management, back pain (including cervical, thoracic and lumbar pain), joint pain, complex regional pain syndrome and neuromodulation. He approaches patient care by addressing the whole person and adhering to evidence based practices.
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Hughes enjoys carpentry, collecting comic books, movies, golf and spending time with his wife and two children.
