Claire (Mitzi) Lakes, APRN, FNP-C is a registered nurse practitioner providing same-day care at the White-Wilson Immediate Care Clinic in Niceville. She received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

APRN Lakes knew she wanted to become a nurse since she was six years old. She started practicing medicine in 2001 and has been providing care in emergency and family medicine. She served in the US Air Force for 20 years and worked for a government contractor in Iraq for 2 years as a site lead in a Diplomat Support Hospital.

APRN Lakes' approach to patient care focuses on listening, allowing patients to express their health expectations, and providing care that will enable them to be more compliant with a treatment plan. She specializes in all aspects of Immediate Care, including urgent care illnesses, flu and cold illnesses, common illnesses and injuries, and accidents such as strains and sprains.

APRN Lakes is married and has 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. When not caring for patients, APRN Lakes enjoys going to the beach, reading, cooking, puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also likes to rescue feral cats.
