About the Specialties

Family Medicine

Family Medicine physicians are general wellness doctors that specialize in a variety of areas including physical, mental, and emotional health; family medicine emphasizes comprehensive patient care. Oftentimes, family physicians will see one or more members of the same family, hence the terms family medicine or family physician.

Family physicians see patients of all ages. While family physicians perform similar functions to Immediate Care or Urgent Care specialists, many functions differ. One important difference is that family physicians function as a patient's primary care provider or wellness provider for an extended period of time. Immediate Care or Urgent Care physicians focus on treating urgent care illnesses and injuries.

Immediate Care/Walk-in Care

White-Wilson Immediate Care or Walk-in Care services are provided for those with non-emergent, urgent care illnesses or injuries. White-Wilson's Immediate Care Clinics provide quality urgent care to walk-in patients that need to see a doctor right away. The Niceville Immediate Care/Walk-in Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m to 7 p.m and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For Immediate Care information, please click here

Pediatrics

Pediatrics is the field of medicine pertaining to infant, child, and young adult patients. Pediatricians are specially trained to take factors related to what developing bodies need and go through in their medical prevention, treatment, and diagnosis. Children see their pediatrician from the time that they are born until they reach adulthood, at which point they can transition to a White-Wilson family physician.

For your convenience, the Niceville/Bluewater Bay Pediatrics Clinic is open on Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
