About Dr. Strittmatter
Dr. Madeline Maria-Fernanda Strittmatter is a board-certified Pulmonologist caring for patients at White-Wilson’s Pulmonary Clinic in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach. A graduate of Crestview High school, Dr. Strittmatter went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. During her training, Dr. Strittmatter engaged in research focusing on advanced care for patients with chronic respiratory illnesses, particularly Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and COPD. This research sparked her interest in specializing in pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Strittmatter knew she wanted to be a doctor since she was seven years old. Growing up in a third-world country, she witnessed the limited availability of proper health care and the impact that limited access to care has on the quality of life in communities. This motivated her to seek a medical career so that she could make a difference by educating and enabling patients to take ownership of their health through education, resources and appropriate medical treatment.

She specializes in a broad range of pulmonary illnesses, including asthma, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, IPF and COPD. She understands that her patients have individual values and preferences, so she approaches patient care by fostering meaningful and trustworthy relationships to help her patients better understand and make decisions about their health and treatment options. When necessary, she implements a multidisciplinary approach, supported by evidence-based medicine, to ensure comprehensive care.

Dr. Strittmatter is fluent in Spanish, enabling her to comfortably communicate and provide care in both English and Spanish. Apart from her medical practice, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cherishes moments with her extended family. She is actively involved in her church's ministry as well.
