FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–October 14, 2022—White-Wilson Medical Center marked the month of October by celebrating the contributions made by its female staff and health care providers. At the monthly Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee, White-Wilson highlighted the level of compassion and care provided by women throughout the organization and used the platform to raise awareness about health matters impacting women. To mark the occasion, the organization made a contribution to One Hopeful Place, a local housing shelter, in the name of the "Women of White-Wilson Medical Center." The donation will help provide a bed in the women's portion of the shelter.
"October is a great time to highlight the importance of women's health and wellness," said Alan Gieseman, White-Wilson CEO. "We're glad to help contribute to a safe space for any woman in need while honoring the amazing work the women at White-Wilson do each and every day."
Gieseman continued, "We are fortunate to have so many outstanding women caring for our community and will take any opportunity to celebrate them. I hope that the bunk will be a blessing to other women for years to come."
