White-Wilson Medical Medical Center Welcomes Three New Health Care Providers

FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida –January 6, 2015—As the population ages, the American Association of Medical Colleges anticipates a physician shortage of more than 130,600 physicians over the next 10 years. This shortage is already being felt in communities across the country, including the Emerald Coast.

White-Wilson Medical Center (WWMC) has strived to meet the community's health care needs since Dr. White opened the first doctor's office on Brooks Street in 1946. Since then, WWMC has grown to over 20 different specialties, 75 health care providers, a number of ancillary services, and is the largest outpatient-imaging provider in the area.

As the community grows and its needs change, WWMC continues to grow to meet those needs and provide quality health services in convenient locations throughout Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties. In January, WWMC will welcome three new health care providers.

New Health Care Providers:

• Dr. Ellen Coats
  Dr. Coats is certified by the National Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Family Medicine. She is accepting new patients at the White-Wilson Navarre Clinic.


• Dr. Rodney Powell
  Dr. Powell has been providing cardiovascular care to the Fort Walton Beach community for over 29 years, and now joins Dr. Leslie Fleischer in the White-Wilson Cardiology Clinic.


• Sophia Lynch, PA-C
  PA-C – Lynch joins the practice of Pulmonologist, Dr. John Chaney, at the White-Wilson Fort Walton Beach Pulmonology Clinic.
