FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–September 25, 2020—Over the past 4 months, White-Wilson Medical Center has welcomed an impressive 9 new health care providers to its team. These additions, which include primary care providers and specialists, are highly skilled medical professionals who will be assets to the community during this time of increased health care need.

Dr. Julian Tokarev will lead the White-Wilson Ophthalmology Clinic in Fort Walton Beach, marking a return of the specialty after a year's absence. He specializes in general ophthalmologic care for both adult and child patients as well as surgical and non-surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts, the treatment of eye diseases and injuries and diabetic vision care. Dr. Tokarev is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his Ophthalmology Residency at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Gary Tackling specializes in Internal Medicine and works with adult patients to manage and prevent illness. He comes to us from Long Island, New York where he was called upon to care for patients in the Emergency Department and ICU during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Tackling joins Dr. Vergil Brown and Dr. Gilbert Vigo at the White-Wilson Internal Medicine Clinic in Fort Walton Beach.
The White-Wilson Pediatrics team has added two physicians in recent months. Dr. Jennifer Allen Johnson is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and cares for patients at the White-Wilson Pediatric Clinic in Navarre. Dr. Allen Johnson has more than 40 years of health care experience.
Dr. Alison Colonna is also board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and joins the White-Wilson Pediatric Clinic in Fort Walton Beach. A new mom herself, Dr. Colonna is excited to being caring for the children of our community. Dr. Colonna graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine before completing her internship and residency as the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, where she also served as a clinical instructor.
