FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida –October 5, 2016—White-Wilson Medical Center is inviting it's patients and the community to join them for a 70th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 8. The family-friendly celebration will take place at White-Wilson's Fort Walton Beach campus, 1005 Mar Walt Drive, from 9 a.m. until noon.
The celebration will include children's activities, bounce houses, face painting, games and music, as well as, physician meet and greets, free health screenings and door prizes. Of course, no celebration would be complete without cake and refreshments.
"We are looking forward to celebrating this milestone with the community," said White-Wilson CEO Alan Gieseman. "White-Wilson has a long history serving this area and so much to celebrate. We hope that everyone will join us for what will be a great event."
White-Wilson Medical Center got its start in 1946, when Dr. Henry White opened a medical clinic on Brooks Street in Fort Walton Beach. The location served as the community's health center and a home for his family. In 1952, Dr. White was joined by his medical school classmate Dr. Joseph Wilson. This formed the White-Wilson name that still stands.
Over the last 70 years, White-Wilson Medical has continued to grow to meet the community's health care needs. Today, the center provides over 20 specialties of medicine and has locations in Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Navarre and Niceville.
